DEVELOPMENT
Even in the hunt for artistic expression, there remains a need for structure and, above all else, the knowledge to move a project forward. By using our combined experience and industry relationships with film commissions, casting agencies, domestic and international distributors, and private equity firms, One Man Army provides a wealth of services across all aspects of film and television to see a project to the finish line.
For our clients, One Man Army’s focus takes them through the stages of development as our team maps out a strategy to maximize a project’s opportunities in the industry. Our WGA writers evaluate potential projects in-house and offer polishes as needed. Our producers provide the tools to acquire the most effective casting to secure funding and get projects into production, as well as navigate international distribution.
FINANCIAL PROCESS & DILIGENCE
Every project submitted for gap funding or investment will be run through the following steps to determine the validity of the production.
PROJECT SOURCING
Producers at One Man Army receive and look at opportunities from packaged projects to company-level investments every month from a variety of sources including agencies, managers, fellow production companies, and advisors across the film, television, and entertainment industry.
PROJECT REVIEW AND ANALYSIS
FINANCIAL - Review of the finance plan, investment offering and capital structure to determine what the investment entails and how it is structured.
SALES - Vetting of foreign and domestic sales agents and review of sales estimates, pre-sales, and NOAs if available.
PRODUCTION - Review of budget, schedule, and key hires.
CREATIVE - Analysis of the project (i.e. script, game, podcast) and creative team (i.e. director, writer, cast)
PARTNERSHIP ALIGNMENT
Review and vetting of producers, studios, and other financiers making investments in the project to determine their business reputation, acumen, and fellow relationships.
ADVISORS
LEGAL - Producers have our legal team on call including securities specialists, entertainment attorneys, and contract law experts.
PRODUCTION SERVICES
One Man Army has a fully operational production services arm with the experience to handle a large variety of projects spanning long- and short-form scripted, unscripted, and live-streaming content across a range of institutions including established studios, digital platforms, and more.
The production services encompass a wide range of expertise including budgeting, scheduling, production management, casting, crewing, on-set producing, production wrap, and post-production management. While One Man Army often handles productions from commencement through completion, the company can be also contracted to consult on specific areas when needed. With over a decade of experience and several advisors on hand in the financial, tax, and legal fields.
